没有什么能阻挡，对自由的向往。
《勇敢的心》震撼人心之处就在于他所追求的可贵思想——自由。人形容夜景的词语来平等，许多人也许生来贫寒，没有地位，但自由是无价的，也是不可剥夺的。
为了自由，他们选择了这场不知结果的斗争。战争总要有人牺牲有人流血，但令人振奋的是，最终苏格兰取得了战争的胜利。当威廉华莱士被行刑前，那声震耳发聩的“freedom”让人久久不能忘怀，激人不断前进。可以说，在刑台这段，是鲜明的对比，让这个自由的精神体现的淋漓尽致的。

33、威廉姆华莱士大败后，罗伯特布鲁斯对背叛行为的自责： Robert the Bruce: Lands, titles, men, power… nothing. Robert's father: Nothing
Robert the Bruce: I have nothing. Men fight for me because if they do not, I throw them off my land and I starve their wives and children. William Wallace: Lower your flags and march straight back to England, stopping at every home to beg forgiveness for a hundred years of theft rape and murder. Do this and your men shall live. William Wallace: Yes, I've heard. He kills men by the hundreds, and if he were here he'd consume the English with fireballs from his eyes and bolts of lightning from his arse.I am William Wallace, and I see a whole army of my countrymen here in defiance of tyranny.
